If you like modern gastronomy and functional food, you should go to Restaurante da Bela, being on two hotels of the chain Best Western: one in Barra da Tijuca, and another in Arpoador.

You will be surprised by the Brazilian flavors in the recipes made by Bela Gil, a chef famous for her natural and conscious cuisine. A good order for a starter is the vegetables wrapped in rice leaf with Baru chestnut sauce.

As for the main dish, two options are irresistible: the chopped meat cubes with tucupi broth, arracacha purée and braised collard greens, and the white grouper with pirão (fish stew with cassava flour) and seasonal vegetables. If you’d prefer a salad, the menu has some delicious options. Some of them include the coleslaw made with pasture chicken, avocado instead of the traditional mayonnaise, and shoestring arracacha
potatoes; and the grilled watermelon salad with coalho cheese (firm white cheese), balsamic vinegar reduction and mini arugula. To top it off, you can try desserts such as craft ice creams – in flavors like mango with yam and ginger (3 scoops) -; the orange cake with citrus cream, sugarcane molasses and almonds; or the warm cocoa cake with chocolate syrup and banana ice cream.
