Flavors of the Amazon in Rio.

Located 500 meters away from the Mauá Square, the ASA (Sustainable Action from the Amazon) is a project of the geographer João Hermeto, one of the partners of the restaurant Aprazível, and it offers some irresistible treats. Some of the options include: Tapioca, “farinha d’água” (flour made with cassava peeled and softened with water) and tucumã fruit oil from Irituia (Pará); cashew nuts from a women-only company from the city of Tailândia (Pará); chocolate from the region of Baixo Xingu and the highlight of the menu, the açaí from the region of Barcarena (Pará) served in bowls of 240 ml, 350 ml and 500 ml. The house also offers regional dishes such as Chicken with Tucupi Sauce and “Rio e Mar à Santarém”, a stew of river fish with butter beans and tucumã oil.
