It was the second finished building of the Caminho Niemeyer (Niemeyer Path).
The Centro de Memória Roberto Silveira (Roberto Silveira Memorial) is part of the Niemeyer Path, the cultural complex of the city of Niterói. Opened in 2004, the memorial is located in Downtown Niterói, on the Aterro da Praia Grande, near the João Goulart Bus Terminal and neighboring the Teatro Popular and the Oscar Niemeyer Foundation. The building hosts an important collection of historic and iconographic documents of Niterói, including over 200 digitalized books containing facts about the city of Niterói, the State of Rio de Janeiro and the life of former governor Roberto Siqueira. The space also has computers for electronic consultations, exhibition room, an information center where you can also print the results of your research, an auditorium, and also a panel by visual artist Cláudio Valério Teixeira that portrays the history of governor Roberto Silveira.
